Very Wet

The weather that is LOL. It has been raining hard in Arizona the past three days. Yes you heard me correct. The normally “dry as an old ladies twat” state is wetter than me in a room full of rockstars! We were doing fine until about 5 pm last night when a humongous wind blew through and tore up part of our roof. Not so bad I thought… but then water started pouring in through our window in our jungle room (2nd living room). I managed to move the leather couches and tables out of the way… took the curtains and blinds down… and somehow jerry rigged some pans resting precariously on the edge of a stool and the window ledge to catch most of the water. Carpet and walls not looking so good in that one spot. Call insurance company this morning because of course they are closed last night… and they say Arizona is in a state of catastrophe according to them…. and the insurance adjuster won’t be able to make it out until Tuesday. Well la-di-da… isn’t that something. So roofer coming by at Noon to temporarily tarp the roof as best as he can… we’re not allowed to fix anything until adjuster comes. Hoping for the best… after all we have paid our insurance for the past 6 years without one claim… so fingers crossed we get our roof and wall fixed at least by the end of next week

Another funny thing apparently we had tornado warnings here in Arizona yesterday… really! I couldn’t believe it! Arizona is the one state that doesn’t get many national disasters… no earthquakes… no tsunami’s…. no tornados… well wait we got that one LOL We usually only get a few minor flash floods that take out a road or two… but not usually loss of lives like everywhere else. I’d say we’ve got it pretty good (usually) hehe I even saw someone rafting across a green belt in a park yesterday… guess that is a good way to make the most of things
